I was born in Moscow, USSR, and graduated from the Physics Department of Moscow University. I had a scientific career and now - retired. I must say – I greatly enjoyed the scientific era of my life. I worked with huge molecules from plants – proteins and polysaccharides, studying their structure and their behaviour. It is great to discover the secrets of nature - challenging, but very inspiring!
Apart from my interest in science, for as long as I can remember I have been interested in the arts. My interest in photography came to me when I was a teenager, but I have been doing photography seriously for about ten years. I am inspired by photography as a medium of self-expression. Photography has numerous applications. In my work I explore the artistic side of it. My photographs have been published in books, magazines and newspapers. I present my work regulary at Fine art Photographic Exhibitions. I have joined The Royal Photographic Society (RPS) and was awarded the Licentiateship (LRPS) and Associatienship (ARPS).
